Audio > help with a DS game

#158173 - locash - Fri Jun 06, 2008 5:03 am

I am working on a new DS game and have never written music or sound for this platform. I use macs and use Logic Pro. I have been asked if I can create tracked music...such as .mod files. Is this some kind of sound generator or engine? Is this like midi? Any advice or help or links would be huge help. thanks.

No you cannot make them in logic in your normal manor. The mod format uses one sample per channel with one note polyphony on each so you don't have the same freedom that you have in a typical music arrangement environment.

Check out renoise for something to work with.
