Hello,

I did a couple of midi tracks to be used with my game and I was wondering how to convert there to ProTracker MOD format.

Can you recommend any good free MOD editor/player for Windows 2000/XP? Also a recommendation of a MIDI to MOD tool (if such a thing exists) will be appreciated.

Thanks

Try modplug tracker. http://www.modplug.com/modplug/tracker.php3

It can even import midi files, but it often produces bad results unless the source midi is at a specific tempo.

it has nothing to do with mid/mod but if you want to encode mp3's with modplug you have to place bladeenc in the same dir, unless your computer has some encoder already there...?
it was an annoying problem for idiots like me :D

BladeEnc doesn't have near the same sound quality as LAME (the best MP3 encoder), which is in turn behind Oggenc (the .ogg encoder) in quality per bit. I just "save as wave" and then drag them on top of OggDropXPd, the easiest wav->ogg converter.
