#111420 - nickdammit - Wed Dec 06, 2006 10:50 am

Are you interested in developing engine technology for an adventure/puzzle game hybrid title?

I would like to instrioduce my company, Asylum Entertainment, to you. We are a games maker, and a registered Nintendo DS developer also, who is looking for coding talent to make engine technology and games on that platform. You can take a look at our website here: www.asylum-entertainment.com.

If this is of interest to you, feel free to get in touch with us sending a CV and links to work examples you have created.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon and seeing some great work!

Honestly, you might consider someone else to do online postings and your website. The main page as well as this post both contain a number of spelling grammatical errors, which generally doesn't look good on a company website :)

UK residents only, or international telecommuting?

It doesn't, but they're doing games for EA! Actually I'm going to update my when CV when I get back today and send it to them. Truth be told I would like to start work from around April but that can be discussed in my interview ^_^

- Both actually! We are looking for a lead in the UK (preferably in the South East) and a telecommuting coder supporting the lead.

Hi Fireslash. You are probably right - the site was new that week and we hadn't done much to get the copy checked through completely. All I have to say is:

i) Thanks for pointing it out.
ii) Point out any remaining typo errors for us and we'll get them amended.

;)

BTW all the rest of you... Even though Fireslash did not respond to our offer - please don't be put off yourselves. It is a genuine call for skilled, enthusiastic programmers who want to get paid for doing what they love to do!

How is the telecommuting coder managed?

Shared code base (Subversion or coder's own tool of choice). Most effective methods of collaboration and communication to be defined by both coders and myself at project start. By the way, Asylum requires both these aspects of working together to be practical, effective and well maintained throughout the span of the project.

Does that answer your question sufficiently? Let me know if you want further info.

Would the UK Society for Editors and Proofreaders be of any use?
