Help Wanted > OpenPok? team expansion

#141546 - Kyoufu Kawa - Wed Sep 26, 2007 8:05 pm

Some of you might've learned about OpenPok? from the "what are you working on" thread. Now, it has "open" in the name, but it's really kinda closed at the moment in that it's not yet done enough. I was planning to open it when at the battle system was done.

Problem is, I can't get the battle system right and have other things to do in the game. Who would like to join me on coding? There are three basic prerequisites, aside from common sense:
* Must have some knowledge of Pok?mon games, specifically the GBA versions
* Must not even try to slip in Diamond/Pearl aspects

Current active team members:
* Darkdata on maps
* Sukasa on story
* Cearn on research (also did VWF and map engine)
* Me on coding and graphics (also tweak DD's maps)
Maybe with a second coder, we can get things done.

Thanks in (GB) advance.

LOL!
I had a pretty tough day at work today, and it's nice to see that programmers are still able to crack jokes :-)

Thanks. I'd rather crack the trading protocol though ^^;

I'm too weak in programming NDS but I'm a Pokemon fan and I wait hard for your openpoke. maybe I can test something?

It's not testers I need.

Dragon warrior is 10 times better than Pokemon!!! In fact I'm going to buy it next time I see it.

Project sounds interesting, will it be GBA or DS?

Keldon: if you've seen the screenshots, the answer would be obvious.

laos: kindly don't start about that. I've had that discussion ten times over on Acmlm's.

Ah right, is it a single screen DS game ^_^ Although I was talking about the line-up of team members which looked interesting for a Pok?mon project.
