Like how he said.

But I don't think that is enough, people do it so much and it doesn't take a lot for bots to be able to handle that too.

I would write it as username@domain.com , username=cru553, domain = hotmail.com . It will take years for bots to catch up with these types of descriptions.

There are multiple at-like signs in Unicode:
  • @ (U+0040 commercial at)
  • (a) (U+0028 left parenthesis, U+0061 latin small letter a, U+0029 right parenthesis)
  • ? (U+00A4 currency sign)
  • (α) (U+0028 left parenthesis, U+03b1 greek small letter a, U+0029 right parenthesis)
  • (а) (U+0028 left parenthesis, U+0430 cyrillic small letter a, U+0029 right parenthesis)
  • parentheses around any of several accented a's in Latin, Greek, or Cyrillic
  • Ѧ (U+0466 cyrillic capital letter little yus) (looks like an A and T combined)
  • ⒜ (U+249C parenthesized latin small letter a)
  • Ⓐ (U+24B6 circled latin capital letter a)
  • ⓐ (U+24D0 circled latin small letter a)
  • ♭ (U+266D music flat sign) (Flat rhymes with At)
  • ㋐ (circled katakana a)

And lots of dots:
  • * (U+002A asterisk)
  • . (U+002E full stop)
  • ? (U+00B7 middle dot)
  • ? (U+2022 bullet)
  • ∙ (U+2219 bullet operator)
  • ■ (U+25A0 black square)
  • ▪ (U+25AA black small square)
  • ● (U+25CF black circle)
  • ◦ (U+25E6 white bullet)
  • ☉ (U+2609 sun)
  • 。 (U+3002 ideographic full stop)
  • ・ (U+30FB katakana middle dot)
  • . (U+FF03 fullwidth full stop)
  • ・ (U+FF65 halfwidth katakana middle dot)

Vary which at-sign and dot-sign you use, and spammers will have to make their spam tools Unicode-capable.

That would not slow bots down. I mean a lot of them are quite lazy, they can quite easily handle the case of name [at] domain.com especially if the domain is yahoo.com or hotmail.com.

Yes they need to search many domains, but this will allow them to search less domains as they will be able to pick up many more email addresses.

I mean if it picks up many invalid email addresses from a single page containing many email addresses then find a similar string in all of them and remove it. Such a method will remove all the @NOSPAM's and gain enough extra email addresses to make it worth its while.

Spam tools also have characteristic HTTP behavior signatures.

smart move:

create a new email and give THAT on the boards :)

so IF you ever be caught by spam.. it will not be your private email :)

Do you have any expamples of your work?
What sort of sprites are you good at creating?
