If you live in Canada, I think this is where you will get the best price for a EFA 256 Mb. I ordered mine last week and received it 5 days later (weekend included in the 5 days). Everything went perfectly and the cart arrived undamaged and working.

I greatly recommend.

#20288 - GameFan - Thu May 06, 2004 4:54 pm

They are offering EFA's at a very good price.

I'm new at all this stuff and they were very helpful and responsive to emails I sent them. I'm very happy and would buy from them again.

As for delivery I guess it took about 6 days, but I guess it's because I'm in Texas and they are in Canada.

#22532 - Jikuty - Wed Jun 23, 2004 8:15 pm

I just got my EFA from Kicktrading.ca in today, exactly 48 hours after my purchase. The extremely fast shipping may be due to the fact that I'm only a few hours drive away from where Kicktrading is.

Anyways, the packaging was nice, no components were broken or damaged in the shipping process. There was e-mail correspondance from the company for every step of the purchase, they had notified me of them receiving my payment, when my product was shipped out, and the tracking number of my product.

Cheap prices, fast shipping and good service.

I ordered my EFA512 linker from them and I am very satisfied.

Shipping was FAST! I got my EFA in 4 days!

They kept me informed every step of the way.

GREAT SITE and GREAT SERVICE!

#29252 - fadeddata - Mon Nov 15, 2004 4:26 am

I just ordered one and the responses to my email have been very fast. The only thing I'm confused about is to why they refer to the product as being preorder all of you seem to have ordered long ago. What's up with that?

-dustin

#29253 - tepples - Mon Nov 15, 2004 4:39 am

Perhaps their web shop software treats back-order and pre-order merchandise in the same way.

They seem to sell a small amount carts at a time. I guess they buy a bunch and sell them until there is none left. Then there is a period of time where they don't have any. Usually every 2-3 weeks or so.

#29255 - fadeddata - Mon Nov 15, 2004 5:31 am

That's good to know. I wish they woud've just told me that over the email though. It's kind of weird seeing everybody here has one and mine is a preorder! (that just doens't make sense) Now if their site would just say backorder that would make a litte more sense. Either way they replied back very quickly which is a first when it comes to online shops..

Thanks alot...

-dustin

#29260 - isildur - Mon Nov 15, 2004 3:32 pm

Well, when you ordered one, was it stated as a pre order? Because it is clear on their site when they have some in stock or when it is a pre order.
Send them an email and ask them if your oder is a pre-order...

#30914 - pissant - Mon Dec 06, 2004 3:40 am

I ordered a EFA256 from them late in November and I am extremely satisfied. I received it within two days (ok, ok... I live in the same country as them) and it worked like a charm.

They are very responsive... I got an email response that they had received my order and were preparing to ship it out within two hours of paying for it.... and this was after 10pm at night!

I whole-heartedly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a EFA.

#31009 - Xian - Tue Dec 07, 2004 12:29 am

I ordered from KickTrading last week and received my 256m Extreme Flash Advance today. They are in Canada and I am in the US, so shipping was very fast. They also have the best price anywhere that I have seen. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a flash card for their GBA development needs.

#32200 - SiW - Sun Dec 19, 2004 8:31 am

Awesome price, awesome speed, awesome communication to my initial email (which is actually a test I do with any online retailer I've never used before..)

#32668 - ricojack - Fri Dec 24, 2004 7:41 pm

Ordered on Dec 16 (thursday), received Dec 20 (monday). Can't ask for much more.

#35066 - Transam - Sun Jan 30, 2005 12:48 am

Received my 512M efa linker day before yesterday. I received the package in nine days, pretty decent time since i live in Finland :) Good place to buy stuff!!

I ordered a EFA-Linker 256 from kicktrading, received it in 4 days. I think this is really fast compared to other purchases I have made on the net, they are also fast in answering emails something that many retailers aren't that good at. Also, I find the EFA to be a very solid cart, better than most out there, it's also compatible with my NDS system which is a big plus. Very Happy here :)

#37752 - Vylrath - Tue Mar 15, 2005 8:50 pm

I live near Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas ... ordered a SuperCard adapter plus a USB card reader/writer on March 7. It just arrived today, the 15th. That's roughly 5 business days, just as advertized, from Canada to Texas. Couldn't be happier with the hardware, everything seems to work perfectly. :) I'll probably buy from them again if I ever get another card.

I ordered an EFA Linker 256 on March 18. I received it on March 25, 5 business days later here in Tulsa, OK. I was a little worried, since the Canada Post tracking site didn't work well for me. But the product arrived exactly on time, and it works great! I will definitely do business with kicktrading again.

#39060 - kai - Mon Apr 04, 2005 1:26 am

well i was planning on buying from kicktrading but for some reason they rose the price of Supercard by almost $10.00! ( im pretty sure it used to be 49.50) -_-. now im thinking hopebuy would be much cheaper. sigh, i wish i could just drive there or something assuming its in the toronto area. then id have no reason to pay shipping and handling :D

kai wrote:

They did sell the Super Card for $49.95. However, it was a sale price and sales don't last forever. I was hoping to get one too, but was to late buying.

#40766 - josath - Fri Apr 22, 2005 9:30 am

Ordered an EFA256, took about a week to get here. It was DOA...didn't work in my DS, my friends DS, or my friends GBA.

Sent it back for replacement. Round trip time for replacement was about 2 weeks.

Replacement worked for about a week, then stopped working.

edit:
Returned the replacement for refund, 8 days later the money was refunded to my paypal account. Their customer service is pretty good i'd say, just bad luck that I got two defective EFA carts in a row. I ended up getting a free neoflash cart, so that worked out ok in the end.
Again, their customer service was very good, letting me return it twice, always responded to my emails within 24 hours.

#42606 - javarat - Fri May 13, 2005 2:38 pm

Bought my EFA-Linker 512 Mb this week.

Orderd it on Tuesday and it arrived on Wednesday !!

Nothing but praise for this professional company.

Probably my best online buying experience to date.

Ordered my Supercard Combo on May 7th and recieved it on the 19th (approximately 9 business days). well it took a pretty long time to ship but it was on backorder so i dont blame them. For a backorder, it came pretty fast in my opinion. Good service, product was working perfectly, answered my email in less than 24 hours and good price too. Would definately buy from them again if I buy another flash card.

#43802 - funkaster - Thu May 26, 2005 9:56 pm

took 9 days to get my EFA cart, and I'm in Chile (the other side of the world :-P)
works great, great packaging... NICE!!!

#43923 - Ottawa411 - Sat May 28, 2005 3:52 am

I ordered a supercard C.O.D. from them and it took 2 days to get it. They even shipped it at a sale price even though the sale hadn't started when I placed/confirmed the order. Saved me $10 U.S.

#48425 - KMcG - Tue Jul 19, 2005 10:47 pm

It took a week from the day i ordered to the day that it came, and that is from canada to Texas (over the 4th of July weekend). I was sorta worried about it getting stuck in customs, but it wasn't an issue, so it was worth saving the money by ordering here. Cheap prices and fast service makes it good in my book. If i ever need another cart for some reason i would order from them again.

#49356 - genetik - Fri Jul 29, 2005 1:25 am

Shipping was pretty fast. I ordered tuesday a Ez-Flash III 1Gbit and a Ez-Flash III 2Gbit and i received them today (thursday). although this is due to the fact that they ship from Ontario and i live in Quebec (I'm probably at a 4hrs drive from where they're located). customer service was working great. i asked them a question before buying and they answered the same day. would definitely recommend to anyone. it was, for sure, cheaper than buying them at a store locally.

#59333 - sumiguchi - Mon Oct 31, 2005 6:15 pm

Ordered a Supercard SD when item was out of stock, expected to be back in stock on Oct 18. I received mine on Oct 21. No issues - works great.

Only beef is the confirmation of shipment email came after the supercard had already arrived!

#59335 - unrequited - Mon Oct 31, 2005 6:21 pm

I can't sing enough praises for this company... I ordered an EFA512 from them about a 8 months ago, and 6 months into using it, the card became defective in that it wouldn't read from teh second memory bank (so it was effectively a 256mb card). I emailed EFA themselves, and they said to email kicktrading first to try and work things out. Without question, they gave me an RMA number and an address to return it to. Withink 10 days (I think it was US<-->CA mail's fault) I had a new working EFA512 for the low cost of the postage. Thanks kicktrading.ca and keep up the great customer service.

I have ordered 2 different things from here and both times have been great. First time was through a credit card which was very very quick (3 days turn around till it got shipped to me) and the 2nd time was through paypal (took around 5 days just for that) but kicktrading took only 3 days to ship it to me once they got their money from paypal.

I now have the Supercard SD with reader and the Ezflash3 2Gbit flashset and i love them both. But...if you plan on just playing GBA games with the supercard, be ready to see alot of slowdowns :( This is why i bought the Ezflash3 combo. I will be keeping my supercard for NDS games and SNES emulation (since the GBA is too slow for that)

#64505 - bassizzzt - Fri Dec 23, 2005 12:54 am

I ordered the passkey/CF card reader from Kicktraders back around 12/4/05. I have sent them two emails today, with no replies. Items were on back order, but now I see the items are in stock. What gives?

This order was supposedly processed on 12/8/05.

This was ordered for my son's Christmas. It is for his Nintendo DS. I can already tell he probably won't be getting it for Christmas. Disappointed with this.

Where are the items I ordered? No phone numbers given to call Kicktraders in Canada. A friend of mine highly recommends kicktraders, but up to this point I am a very dis-satisfied customer.

If anyone from Kicktraders reads this and can at least tell us what is happening with my order, please reply to john_jen@adelphia.net

Is it being shipped, already shipped, what??

Thanks!

We would like to state that we do our best to ensure our customers recieve the best value and service. We would like to follow up on the two comments above.

bassizzzt order was processed on Decmeber 8th, but this does not mean it was shipped. Our site states that "processed" means we have reviewed the order and payment was successful. The item was on back-order it was shipped on Decmeber 21st and delivered December 29th, this is good time considering it was the holidays.

We feel strongly that the comment by krystalskreation is not fair. His order was placed on January 3rd (24 hour shipping), it should have shipped on January 4th but was not becuase the item was on back-order. We did attempt to communicate the availability issue to this buyer, but buyer claims that email was not received. We refunded the buyer the shipping costs and gave him an additional discount for the inconvenience. Item was also finally shipped on 2006/01/06 (2 days late) - Are we really a scam?

Thank you,

Kick Trading Team

Well, I don't know where to begin. I could go on and on about how good these guys are.

Kicktrading.ca were simply amazing. The only 2 words that could describe them are; the best.

These guys are truly the best & true professionals. I ordered the EFA-Linker 512Mb on Saturday night and they shipped it on Sunday! That fact alone made me feel safe with my purchase and knew right then that I was getting exactly what I wanted and for the best price that I could find.

The shipping was also incredibly fast. It took 2 days to deliver it to me, not counting the weekend. Every step of the way they were with excellent support. The moment I sent the payment, they sent me confirmation emails, status update emails and a quick tracking number as well.

I give these guys a 120% on everything. I have no complaints whatsoever.

These guys' know how to treat their customers and are the best example of how online retailers should be. I hope Kicktrading gets the respect and reputation they deserve because I have never dealt with such incredible customer support. I am truely speechless.

I will definately be making more purchases in the future from these guys, and if they expand their product category, that'd be even better.

If you're looking for a place to buy a flash kit, look no further. Just get your money ready and order!

#67459 - pg65 - Wed Jan 18, 2006 7:31 am

I have placed 3 order with Kicktrading and have had no problems, I was 1 of the people that was waiting for a back order in Dec my package came in later then normal but it was x-mas and the post office did have 3 days off. I would order with them again

#67690 - stinky_1 - Thu Jan 19, 2006 10:18 pm

my only complaint against them is that my paypal account has my funds in US currency. I am in canada and was looking to buy from them. All their prices where in US, but when I went to order it switched to canadian. And the exchange rate was WAY higher than what paypal charges. SO I had to convert my US money to canadian, and then on top of that pay for their MUCH higher exchange from US to Canada.

They looked like a good price for the efa 256 in US funds. But once it changed to CDN funds it came in at $100! It was a moment of weakness for me and I bought it anyway. I would have rather paid the extra for the 512 or 1g unit, but once it switched to CDN funds I decided to cheap out.

Not to mention that somehow I figured it was rated in MEGABYTE not BITs. So I was extremely suprized that it only would let me put 3 games on it when I was epxecting it to take more than 20+!

Thats not their fault though since I was stupid and did not notice. But I was looking at getting a supercard since I had 256mb SD cards here. But decided the efa would be better since it seemed to have more compatability and was the "same" memory size. Now I know its now.

Shipping was pretty fast though, and communication was good. I wish I was more patient though and reasearched out my purchase a little more. Maybe asked more questions too

The server at forum.gbadev.org hosts a web board dedicated to discussion of issues in homebrew GBA and Nintendo DS game development. Homebrew games are generally much smaller than commercial games, and if you have games that average 1.5 MBytes (12 Mbits) each, then you can fit 20 games on one 32 MByte (256 Mbit) cart.

ObTopic: Kick Trading treated me just fine a year and a half ago.

I am somewhat dissatisfied I live (minnesota, usa) less than 700 miles from ontario(where the package was shipped from) and I have not recieved my package for 10 days so far. I know that kick trading is not responsible for this. But canada post received the package on the 15th. on the 17th it left canada. to this day the 23rd it has not entered any country. I called canada post about this they said contact kick trading so they can do an investigation. So far it seems I won't be getting my package anytime soon.

#68346 - xerop362 - Mon Jan 23, 2006 10:35 pm

the post by krystalskreation is infact unfair. I just tracked his order with the number he gave and it was recieved by him (on january 13th). I consider the shipment very fast since it is from country to country. Also just for refence my tracking number is CE408294394CA. I state this just in case someone needs to see how long it took for me to get my order. Also because I probably won't post here again for a little while. And here is the link for easy check ups.

#68431 - xerop362 - Tue Jan 24, 2006 3:21 pm

Just before work I emailed kicktrading and told them my situation. They emailed me back with the following
"Hello We contacted post office and they said you should receive it any day now. If you don't receive it by the end of the week please email us and we will open up a claim. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank You Kick Trading"

I didn't see the email till later on but my brother called me at work and told me that it came. It came just a couple hours after the email from kick trading (email time stamp).
Thank you kicktrading, love your service will buy again... when I find something I need.

Both of the item I ordered came intact and work as supposed to.

#68819 - asspants - Thu Jan 26, 2006 11:08 pm

It seems like a lot of people have had a really pleasant experience with this retailer and I hate to do this:
They have one contact point on their whole website and they claim speedy replies, and phone contact is pointless because they're so quick with emails.

Yesterday, I ordered the G6 1G flash, I decided that this was a stupid move, and I wanted a M3.. 2 hours later, so i emailed. about 8 hours later I got no response. So I emailed again. Then a couple of hours later I email again. It's now been about 28 hours and I still havent received a response.

Maybe they normally do have quick response. But I'm not seeing it. Maybe it's a one man operation and he's sick in the hospital or something. I hope this isnt the case. I'm sorry if it is, but I'm not satisfied. I didnt even want to leave negative feedback.

If they can satisfactorily resolve this, I will edit my post and rescind my comments.

------UPDATE-----

About an hour after I posted here they finally replied. Granted it was almost 30 hours before I got a response. I am VERY VERY PLEASED with the way they are resolving the situation.

Hello

Your order has been processed and is being shipped today. we will send you the car charger at no charge and we will send you an m3-cf combo with the travel bag you ordered. We will send you a refund for the difference and the cost of the car charger on Monday. The person who does price adjustments is out of the office. Sorry about any inconvenience this has caused. Thank You Kick Trading

It really was not nessasary to give me the car charger for free. I would have just been happy if they said they were going to give me the m3-cf combo. But they're hooking me up on this one. I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

#69401 - Raybdbomb - Mon Jan 30, 2006 4:21 pm

I ordered from them on the 12th, and they shipped on the 14th, which is fine. Now it's the 30th and the tracking number still just tells me "Item accepted at Post Office", which is BS. I live in WA state, it shouldn't take 16+ days to ship that package...

and now I see that http://www.kicktrading.ca refers to
http://sites.godaddy.com/sites.html

/me wonders if they were suspended?

#69448 - Arkim - Mon Jan 30, 2006 8:54 pm

Yeah, I've noticed that their site is down too. I just found this out about 10 min ago.

I'm hoping it's just some kind of technical problem, because they seemed like they were doing just fine, if not great.

I remember they said on their website their technical support won't be available till the 30th, which is today, but you could give it a shot and email them about your issue and regarding their site's status, if you'd like.

Their email is; info@kicktrading.ca

#69494 - Raybdbomb - Tue Jan 31, 2006 2:05 am

yea, I sent them an e-mail shortly after i posted this. i don't expect to hear back from them as it's technically not their fault. but if a claim needed to be filed (assuming it doesn't come), both parties need to submit information...

so i still need a reply.

#69576 - Raybdbomb - Tue Jan 31, 2006 4:27 pm

FYI, here is the response I received yesterday from kicktrading:

Quote:

Sorry for the late reply we had a problem with our web hosting company.

Yes your package was sent January 14, expedited parcels take 5-12 business
days, but delivery times with expedited parcels are not guaranteed. January
31st is the 12th business day. Canada Post is sometimes very slow at
updating the status, we have seen it before, chances are it may not show any
information until it is delivered.

We say give it until the end of this week, hopefully you will receive it
soon.

#69787 - echeng25 - Wed Feb 01, 2006 10:00 pm

In general I am pretty pleased with kicktrading. I placed my order for PassKey2+M3SD on Jan 21, 2006 (Saturday). They had just got a new batch in stock. I got notification from both kicktrading and paypal that the order had processed (i.e. the money went across). By Wed Jan 25, I still hadn't received any tracking # or notification of shipment so I emailed kicktrading. They replied the next day and said that my e-check just cleared and that they would send my order ASAP. I don't totally believe that as paypal said it cleared that same day, but whatever. I got my tracking # on Friday Jan 27, and it arrived on Monday Jan 30. Worked great, no issues with the product itself.

I am guessing the delays were due to kicktrading probably receiving a lot of orders that week. I think they went right back to being backordered on the M3s within a couple of days so I have no issue with that.

#69989 - xboxed - Fri Feb 03, 2006 4:59 pm

Whoa! What Can I say? I highly recommend Kicktrading for non-Canada or US buyers. Im in Mexico, and I placed my order January 25 at night, and by Friday...my order was shipped and on its way to Mexico City. The Package with 2 M3 CF and Passkey's arrived Wednesday 1st at 4:30 PM...Less than a week!!! For a foreign customer, its hell fast!!!

They always answer to your enquiries kindly and fast...its a shame their store sales end too quick ;)

Im really looking forward to order from Kicktrading again.

Peace

weird... i coulda sworn i posted a reply to this forum liek 2 hours ago but i dunno wher eit went... hmmmm well anyway:

I just signed up for a backorder on kicktrading's M3-SD cards. Does anyone know if the card they are selling is the M3-SD-micro (not to be confused with the min-SD version). On the site it showed a picture of the smalled SD version but then it says "M3 Perfect SD" which im pretty sure is the older version... well... just see what i mean
http://www.kicktrading.ca/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=58

All i need to knwo is: Is this the newer SD version (smaller) or is this the older SD version that i am buying?... i was hoping it was the smaller...

#82840 - dabone - Wed May 10, 2006 5:58 pm

This is the second time I've dealt with kicktrading and the mail service to the us seems a bit pokey.

But the thing that REALLY REALLY REALLY annoys me is that when you try to track your package.

Here is the shipping method I selected.

Expedited U.S.A.** 7-15 business days, with basic insurance, and tracking.

Here is all I get when I track the package.

2006/05/02 20:31 RICHMOND HILL, ON Item accepted at the Post office

This was 8 days ago, but the tracking number never receives any updates.

Not very good tracking, but not kicktradings fault either.

(Echos of South Parks Blame Canada playing in my head).

I received my package today, and 10 hours later the shipping info still hasn't updated.

But I've already got my ds lite flashed and playing with my new passcard2 and m3 minisd!

Hi. My friend and I both ordered from KT at the same time. He lives in British Columbia and I live in the USA. He ordered Xpresspost shipping, and got his package 4 days later. I used Expidited USA and I've yet to recieve mine. I will update once I get it.

Well the package didn't fit into my mailbox... Now I have to go to the post office to get it!

... edit

It came! Great proudct, great quality!... but dont even bother with tracking!

#84735 - Jinroh - Wed May 24, 2006 1:37 pm

Linkiboy is right, I ordered a SuperCard SD from KickTrading and am very pleased with the quick delivery (I live in USA, Pennsylvania) it only took about a week and a half. Anyway I'm one who looks at the package tracking page for everything I order. This was torture,

that is what mine said the whole unchanging time (The date and time was different obviously). It did come rather quickly but it was a pain not knowing what the progress was.

Overall though payment and service from Kicktrading were excellent and my SuperCard really is awesome. I dropped it about 5 times and not a single scratch on it.

I ordered the G6 4G/Passcard 3 combo last Thursday afternoon and it arrived today (Monday) around noon.

They're having trouble with PayPal so I had to pay C.O.D. via Canada Post XpressPost but that was no problem at all.

Everything works as expected.

I'm very pleased and will be ordering more in the future.

#88552 - Rudyn - Tue Jun 20, 2006 5:31 am

I ordered on 06/11/06 and the item arrived on 06/20/06 which is very fast for an International order! I live in Perth, Western Australia. Overall I'm very pleased with the experience of shopping at Kick Trading! Recommended!

Just bear in mind that they are having trouble with Paypal and now they only accept COD for Canadian orders only. Hope they can fix this up soon!

Ordered my supercard lite friday night and got it today but the lazyass mail person just left all the items in my mailbox and didn't even bother delivering it to my door or leavng it at the post office, very fast shipping (might be because I live like 10 min away from them) but unfortunately they dont allow pickups otherwise kicktrading.ca is a pleasure to deal with.

#102010 - Louis - Sat Sep 09, 2006 8:44 pm

I ordered a G6L and a PassMe3 seperately, as I had been drooling over the combo for months when it suddenly went on backorder before I worked up the nerve to actually buy the thing. The standalone versions weren't listed as backorder, so in my impatience decided it was worth the extra $15 Cdn. if I could get the product sooner. I placed the order on Tuesday September 05.

Then the G6L itself also went on backorder. :|

So I emailed KT and they responded saying they would update the order to be the combo and save me some money, also stating that the item would be in stock by the end of the week. Sure enough, my order was "shipped" on friday (C.O.D. - still anxious about ordering things online, so it's an appreciated option :P ). The tracking # they gave me doesn't bring up anything on the CanadaPost website... just says the order cannot be found.

It's only Sat. anyway, so it's obviously not going anywhere until next week sometime. So far I have nothing but good things to say about the level of service these guys provide. I hope to get my package by Wed (seeing as I'm off on that day), I'll be sure to update my post once I get any further info.

BTW, I live in Newfoundland, Canada.

Current status: Recommended! :D

EDIT: recieved my package today (sept 12/06) before expected!! Very happy with everything, my roomate and brother are jealous and looking into getting their own from kicktrading.ca :D. Still recommended, only moreso!

ordered a couple of flash-carts from them, and it took forever to get them. apparently the problem was in the norwegian mail-system and not on their side though. the issue was handled quite professionally, so i wouldn't think twice about ordering from them again.

#102215 - Misterpops - Mon Sep 11, 2006 9:16 pm

I personnally bought 4-5 EFALinker 256 Cart. Never had a problem.

Kicktrading is a real safe place where to buy those carts. I Recently bought a EFA Linker 512 M...My unit was unstable...they sent me the adress to ship my unit back and they sent me a brand new. So if you want to buy in confidence, don't hesitate.

Shipping is fast and trackable.

By the way, their package come with a small wood ((or maybe wood fiber)) box which is an artwork :-) The edges are very precise.... and like the rest.....impressive !

Kick Trading...two thumbs up !

Bought M3 Lite + Passcard 3 Combo & Memory Card Reader/Writer, which was Out of Stock at the time that I paid.

Kicktrading responded to my queries promptly and efficiently. Paid on the 22nd, expecting to wait awhile for the out of stock card reader - received items on the 26th. Icing on the cake: Granted me a very good PriceMatch with absolutely no hassle.

All items working great. Top quality, will order here if I need anything else for my DS.

If you live in Canada, preferably outside Ontario, Kicktrading is absolutely your best best for a great deal. Especially if you find a good match price.

Fifteen thumbs up.

Kinda late, but I ordered an EFA 256mb cart this summer, and I got it for a good price. I'd recommend this site to anyone, but I can't seem to find GBA flash carts there anymore. Maybe they don't make them anymore, but I can't find any GBA carts on the site.

#107485 - Tightwad - Mon Oct 30, 2006 1:56 am

I shopped around a bit and decided to order from these guys.
I'm in NY and they're in Canada so I was a little bit concerned that I might get stung for some import taxes.....
but when the package arrived (exactly 5 days later) they had written on the customs form that the contents were worth $20
Nice one guys, I would definitely buy from this company again!

#109324 - oman00339 - Fri Nov 17, 2006 6:29 am

I am very happy with Kick Trading. Product shipped in 24hrs. They have the best customer service in the world.

Now... Canada Post on the other hand is the worst! Took 9 days to get here, and couldn't even leave it at my door. Now I have to go pick it up at the post office. It's not Kick Trading's fault though...

I would definitely order from them again!

#109486 - smidgeday - Sat Nov 18, 2006 6:04 pm

I must say this company is fantastic. I ordered a card for my daughter, and it arrived in just three days, one day after they sent me the tracking number. I also ordered a couple for my nephews, and made an error in my order, and forgot to order the second one. I ordered it, along with a note asking if they could possibly ship them together, instead of as two separate orders. They refunded my shipping charge on the second order, and shipped them both together. I was not expecting the refund, very happy about that. Also the card works great too. Highly recommend them.

This site is one of the best I have ever seen. There content were pretty much always in stock and there all very low prices. The staff there were 10/10! i recommend this site. They have one of the best shipping times.

#110771 - Optihut - Fri Dec 01, 2006 12:33 pm

Hi,

I ordered a 1 x M3 Perfect LITE (micro-SD) & Passcard 3 (M3-LITEP3) on Sunday the 26th of November, received an update e-mail on Tuesday that it was shipped and it arrived in the UK today (Friday 1st of December). That's extremely fast, considering it usually took 6-10 days for me to send stuff from Germany to Canada, but perhaps the mail service between those former Commonwealth countries works very efficiently.

Either way, on top of the order they also sent me a game card keychain and about 4 spare M3 shells. This was quite a shock, because I initially overlooked the M3 and thought they had only sent me shells, heh.

I wasn't able to test the product itself yet, as I don't have a micro SD card. I am going to buy that today. However, since they padded the stuff very thoroughly, I have a good feeling about things working.

Either way, so far I am very pleased with my order and would get things again from kicktrading.

EDIT: All right, I have purchased an SD micro card - apparently those are sold in mobile phone shops rather than computer shops, heh - and everything works A-OK!

Best regards,

Optihut

I have been ordering from Kick Trading for the past couple years. I recently got an M3 card and still had the same high quality service that I did 2 years ago when I posted on the first page of this topic.

I am sure I will be ordering from them again in the future. I hope they get the recenty announced M3 Simply cards in soon.

#114447 - lancet - Mon Jan 08, 2007 12:24 am

even though their prices are really high (their prices are double of some other sites), i use them because i dont want my credit card information to get out, and they are the only site in canada i know of that offers COD, so thats a great service its worth paying double for flash carts since you get great customer care and promt delivery.

#115885 - Miranda - Fri Jan 19, 2007 11:10 pm

My first order with kicktrading (for the M3 CF) was back in September 2005 and that transaction went very well. It shipped within a day and I got it 5 days after it shipped, from Canada to southern California.

My second order, however, isn't going as well as my first one. :( But I blame Canada Post, not kicktrading since they processed and shipped my M3 Simply within a day.

Canada Post tracking is no help whatsoever since it hasn't updated since my order shipped.

I know it hasn't been 15 "business days" yet, but it's frustrating to wait and not know where your package is. Especially when my friend's order shipped the same day and he received his on the 12th (shipped to Illinois).

I ordered G6 flash January 2006. After some time it broke, and I sent it back a year later. They sent me a new one right away. Thanks kick, you guys rock!

#117469 - nded06 - Mon Feb 05, 2007 12:38 am

Well, like most U.S. customers my order seems to have gotten stuck in shipping limbo for a little over a week now. I know this is not Kicktrading's fault so I'm going to withhold judgment until my order finally gets here, but the slow shipping is very frustrating and I just need somewhere to vent in the meantime. Canada Post's infamously ineffective tracking system isn't making things any bearable either. As was the case with some other customers, the tracking status of my order seems to be stuck at "Item accepted at post office." I'm going to assume this is a normal occurence with shipments to the U.S. and that my order hasn't just been sitting forgotten in a post office somewhere for a week and a half.

While I can't say anything as to the integrity of kicktrading.ca or the quality of their merchandise, I can say that Canada Post is excrutiatingly slow when shipping to the U.S. and that any U.S. residents ordering from kicktrading.ca (or anywhere else in Canada for the matter) should be prepared to wait quite a bit for delivery.

Update: It's been two weeks now and still no sign of my order. At this point I'm beginning to doubt that I'll get it within the month, or ever for that matter.

problem i had was when i tried to use InternetSecure to send my payment..

#124115 - six-five-two - Tue Apr 03, 2007 6:14 am

Today is Monday.

On Friday I ordered a EZ-Flash V 3-in-1 Expansion Card from them. Their website was off at the moment but I e-mailed them and they quickly responded saying I could still buy it even though the website is offline (and still is...). So I payed them $35 CAD for the EZ-Flash and Express Shipping for $8. Regular shipping was $6. At lunchtime today, the package arrived, everything worked perfectly. I am also buying a M3 Simply for my friend from there.

I am somewhat satisfied with the product (EZ-Flash V 3-in-1 Expansion Card). I knew what I was going to get... I kinda wouldn't mind a new interface though. That boring M3 Simply 3 buttons is getting so... boring. It plays a single GBA game, I want to use Dipstar but I have no idea on how to use it with M3 Simply and EZ-Flash 3-in-1. If someone knows please PM me. Thank you.

My rating for kicktrading: 10/10
-Fast shipping
-Pretty cheap prices
-Located in Canada...fast shipping (again)
-Fast e-mail reply

I recommend anyone to purchase from this website.

#125205 - zAlbee - Thu Apr 12, 2007 2:35 am

Kicktrading (or Kickgaming as they call it now) is very good. I just received two R4DS and two cheap headphones from them today. I ordered it last Tue night, it was postmarked on Wed. Unfortunately this was Easter weekend, and Fri/Sun/Mon were holidays. So even with Express Shipping (1-4 days), that meant it took until yesterday (Tue, 3 business days) to get here. Well I didn't check my mailbox until today though, because I was expecting them to deliver to my door. I only checked it because of the tracking website (which sucks, more below).

Notes:
- It's good to combine orders; whether I ordered 1 item or 4, it was the same shipping ($10 CAD). I split mine with a friend.
- if you're in Canada, you have to pay GST... if you're in Ontario, you have to pay GST and PST like I did.
- Canada Post's tracking system is wonky... they don't update it right away when things happen. They updated my status to shipped today, but it was yesterday's date. And I didn't see that it was accepted at the post office until days later. Don't worry, it'll eventually get there.

Overall, a very good store. They process quickly! Any problems can be blamed on Canada Post =P. Cost of shipping and tax are things to be considered, but I ordered when they had the $10 US off R4DS sale going and saved a bunch, so I'm pretty happy with that =).

#158011 - BainIthron - Tue Jun 03, 2008 6:02 am

KickGaming has given me rather good experience thus far, and consistently.

So far, since last year, I've made several orders from KickGaming, and all have been processed without any problems. The prices are excellent, the selection is pretty great, customer service has worked with me on any and all requests I've had.

Considering some of the other shops I've bought from in the past (who shall remain unnamed), this site is really top-notch. Definitely suggested for anyone looking for a good price and good service for NDS carts.

The only thing that I'd ask for from this site is UPS and FedEx, because I'm OCD when it comes to tracking packages. However, despite living in California, Canadian Post has shipped without a hitch and on-time on all my orders so far, just lousy tracking.

Definitely will be ordering again in the future.
