i ordered an XG flash kit (512mbit) fedex at the 22nd. its now the 30th and it still hasnt come, they provided a FedEx tracking number but that says that it isn't in their system. i think i just got ripped off.

I also ordered an XG Flash Kit 512. I check my order status on their website and it shows that it shipped and they provided a FedEx tracking number. So I try the tracking number. Not in the system. I emailed linker4u.com about this and here's their reply:

Dear Customer,
After checking your order 20040630100640, we regret to let you know that as the factory delay shipment, so the goods of "XG2 Turbo Link (512M version)" will arrived our warehouse in a few day. Our colleague will arrange delivery when back stock. Please note & wait. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Best Regards,

I think they need to get their act together.

i think that the linker4u@hotmail.com tells me that this is a total scam. =)

As gbadev.org is "affiliated" with Linker4U [success-hk] I decided to contact them and ask what they had to say about the feedback in this thread:
Only Status 2 means the parcel have been shipped. If there is a tracking number, but the status is shown "in processing", it means the parcel is in processing in the Shipping Department.
But customer do not consider the "in processing" or "shipped". They guess, if there is a tracking number, it means the parcel is in Fedex, UPS etc.......well, actually they are partly correct, because Fedex, UPS will send workers to our company to follow parc

The thing is, my status doesn't say "in processing" it said "shipped". How can you have shipped something that you don't have in stock? Maybe they should have it say "back-ordered" instead. If they ran out of stock, they should have contacted me and let me know, maybe offer to cancel the order or substitute another item. I had to contact THEM to find out what's up with my order.

i was wrong. i recieved the flash kit as ordered in a longer time frame (2 weeks) than i expected (2 days). the no responce thing worried me but i have the linker, so it is of no concern.
#23306 - mchew - Fri Jul 09, 2004 5:14 pm
I'm glad things worked out for you. I'm still waiting on mine though. It's been a week and a half since I ordered.

I cancelled my order on the 13th. Let's see how long it takes for my refund...

I ordered a 128 m card exactly 2 weeks ago and still nothing. I filled out one of their feed back forms and recieved an exact copy of it in my email. so I just emailed them....we'll see what happens. It is shipping from Hong Kong though, right? I'll cut them a little slack.

I see many people on this forum has had problems getting status of their shipment from Linker4u.com. I placed an order on Aug 2nd and still haven't seen anything from them, nor have they replied to any of the three requests I sent them through their web-site feed-back form. I'm doubtful that I will ever see anything from them at this point....

Ordered a EZF Advance kit last week and it arrived within a week with EMS shipping (I live in Europe).

As a follow up to my post earlier, I checked the FedEx tracking number provided by the web-site again this morning, and lo and behold, the number is now in play! FedEx seemingly picked up my shipment in HK on the 25th. That's only 22 days after the shipment was said to be 'shipped'. So I'm again hopeful that I will see my goods soon, and only wish that Linker4u would change their policy to state an accurate orderstatus in the future.

I ordered an EZFA 128 MB card+linker from them a couple weeks ago, and they fairly quickly replied (in fairly broken English) saying that the EZFA 128 was out of stock and offered the F2A 128 Ultra for the same price (it usually costs about $10 more). I accepted, and waited... and waited... and waited... and finally it came, about 3 weeks later. A bit longer than I expected, but still reasonable.

Ordered my EZF Advance III 256m on the 11th, selected Air Mail shipping, and had to pay manually w/ paypal by inserting linker4u's email address, however order came today, the 21st, running perfectly! The box was slightly squished, but the contents were 100% working including the mini cd-r. No problems with the cart so far, flashed it twice, once with one .gba, another time with 5 .gbas, and the EZFIII has a built in OS that auto-detects it and will give you a selection if you have more than one game on there at a time.
Although there was a slight lack of communication (the order status page still says recieved and processing), the product came in 10 days with the slowest shipping method, and everything was as it should be.
From my experience, I'd give them a 3.5/5
Good:
- Cheap products
- Accepts Paypal for secure transaction
- Fast shipping to the west side
Bad:
- Cranky website (doesn't always load!)
- Doesn't make paypal payment automatic, you have to enter linker4u email and amount yourself
- Very small communication with customer

Wow.. I guess I overlooked this thread from the success thread.. which I hadn't now. Didn't think it would take a month to receive a product (If I receive it at all?).. Anyway, what bothers me the most about this thread is this post:

So, is it just a handfull of people having problems with linker4U, or not? How can you stay "affiliated" with a company that doesn't communicate with their customers. HK or not, it shouldn't take a month to receive a product.. What are they shipping it, by boat?
#35743 - AC-Commo - Thu Feb 10, 2005 1:19 pm
Well,
we are purchasing some of our products at success-hk and we "know" linker4u, too.
The biggest problems both have (is one company) is the bad customer support. You don?t know when you will get your order, you don?t know if your order is shipped or not and if you wil get a trackingnumber for your order, it can take up to 3 weeks, before this order is really shipped.
They had better support and a better way of doing business about 2 years ago....

Ordered an F2A (64BM flash) ultra USB linker from linker4u.com tonight,
Man I did not read this thread in time.. i would pay 50% more to have it ship from US... HK is (im almost sure) going to take a long time.
One of those 'standard of living' points we're so used to in the USA.
You pay for service as advertised, you get it fast, if you don't you complain and you will be refunded or rebated (taken care of anyway), plus good customer service.
And I don't think taking things lightly is ok just because the company is in China.

I ordered a EZF Advance III from linker4u using the E-whatever shipping company, and it arrived in 5 days from Hong Kong to SW USA. No problem on shipping. But I am having problem with the linker!

I strongly suggest people to avoid Linker4u. I haven't received my last order which was placed 2 months ago and they ignored all my queries. They NEVER support customers when something is wrong (Not even tell you what's wrong).
If all goes well, you will receive your product but if anything goes wrong, they will just ignore you and you won't get anything not even refund.

I ordered a f2a usb writer, on a sunday, had it in hand the next thursday. (Im in canada btw)
edit: looks like you cant even use paypal there now, so buyer protection is nil unless you file with your CC if something goes wrong...

I'm starting to get a little nervous. I ordered from this place on Thursday.
I'm using Air mail. Do you think it will get here soon? Cory, what shipping did you get?

They don't seem to carry flash card and related stuff for the GameBoy anymore. The only GBA product they have is the Action Reloader.
Their focus seems to be on the NDS and other newer products now.
