Beginners > Starting out with GBA development on a Mac

#170686 - Gimpneek - Mon Oct 12, 2009 9:58 am

Hi,

I've finally decided to start making some GBA games and I'm trying to get some kind of development environment set up.

I've tried the SGADE http://www.gnufoo.org/gba/ Xcode template and it never works for me (I'm guessing this is because I'm running 10.6 and not 10.2)

I've just downloaded DevkitPro and set it up like it says in the tutorial http://wiki.devkitpro.org/index.php/Getting_Started/devkitARM but I'm not really that adapt at Terminal so I'm confused what to do next.

Does anyone else run Mac OSX for GBA Development? Any pointers?

Thanks,
Colin

this is a template which works with an older xcode version (2.x):

http://www.skyfell.org/gameboyadvancexcode.html

this is just set up for having xcode ready to compile a nice .gba rom.
(you need to install previously devkitpro, obviously)

EDIT:
sorry, i've passed over the fact that you use 10.6.

nothing else to suggest, than this:
