I stumble on old article to convert gameboy into hand held oscilloscope.

I have never programmed for gameboy o/s. A few questions need to be answered.

How fast is transfer rate on link cable?

Is it possible to write a communication program with handshaking to display information on screen?

Would it be possible to connect a serial A/D converter through the link port without USB flafla?

Any information would be helpful

Link cable can transfer up to 115200 bps half duplex with "multiplayer" framing, 115200 bps full duplex with UART framing, or 262144 bps with "normal mode" framing.

The CowBite spec and GBATEK should help you determine the capabilities of the hardware.
