Hi, I want to be able to make a platformer game that uses the same sort of physics that super mario uses, or yoshi island.

I read somewhere on the forum, it is best to use vectors for movement/motion?!?!

Can anyone point me in the right direction to either a good tutorial on vector movement with acceleration or some sample code?

Kind Regards

Not offhand. I'd go crazy with google. There are a bunch of flash tutorials out there. The basics are platform independant.

Make an Asteroids clone first. Once you have cloned Asteroids, you will know how to do a basic Newtonian kinematics simulation.
