Flash Equipment > why doesn't gba homebrew work on my gbamp?

#93127 - clone dad - Mon Jul 17, 2006 3:09 am

im trying to run gba homebrew on my gbamp v2 CF. the only gba homebrew that has worked is the gba calculator. all other files i try give me a white screen, even when they're under 256 kb.
what's wrong?

The file has to be both 1. under 256 KB and 2. linked in multiboot mode (-specs=gba_mb.specs). Try a couple of mine: Tetanus On Drugs and Luminesweeper (no music version).

ah. I didn't know about the multiboot part. Are there any other homebrews for the gbamp than those 2?

Most of the homebrews on the TOD page are also multiboot. Look for anything with a file name suffix ".mb" or ".mb.gba". (However, ".mb" files will need to be renamed to ".mb.gba" or ".gba" for the GBAMP firmware to recognize them.)
