Flash Equipment > lost lpt cable

#118843 - timewolf - Sat Feb 17, 2007 10:10 am

Hi all,

I've found my old 256 Flash Card Advance (Visoly), without the lpt cable... is there a scheme to self-build that cable?

The card is this:

That's the same card I have. I know the MBV2 cable can reprogram it, and I'm pretty sure that so can the Xboo cable and F2A cable.

Isn't the LPT cable just a standard female-female cable?

You could probably find a printer cable at a junk shop. You might be able to find a cheap printer or a cable on ebay.

Do you think that the problem is the cable?

If you lost the cable, you just need a new one, right?

Yes yes, i lost the original Visoly LPT cable, i've build a Xboo Cable from a old Printer Lpt Cable... but if I try to upload any rom to the flash i get always "Bad Checksum"

I tried the roms on a gba emu and work fine...
