hello i would like to find a SD/CF gba cart that i can just shove roms onto the card and test them out for gba dev. Any suggestions?

By "roms" do you mean works made by hobbyists, or do you mean copies of commercial games?

I'd also recommend a Slot-2 Supercard for the extra 32MB of RAM that some applications support, but you'll need something to boot from slot-1 as well.

Which M3 Perfect also has. GBA programs can also run somewhat faster on the M3 than on the SuperCard; it appears a lot of people think the faster RAM is worth the money.

Yeah, they should, check the compatibility to be sure. Both the aforementioned M3 and Supercard will work on the original GBA and also on the NDS, after flashme firmware replacement/or by using passthrough cards (superkey etc).

I personally use supercard, but I have no experience with others, so I can't recommend it over any others.

Only problem I could say with supercard is dealing with the SRAM (you have to manually select a file to load and save to, before and after running a program)

If you name the .sav the same as the .gba it will automatically load it (but you still have to manually save it).

Ohh yes that was right, but still manual saving is a big pain, especially if you forget and lose the data.
