Flash Equipment > Determining GBA cat size using Flash2advance ultra set

#15107 - beerthebear - Sat Jan 17, 2004 6:42 am

I got a flash2advance 1 gigbit sent with USB cable. I try and do a backup, but it asks what size the cart is, but i dont know what size it is. How can i find out the size of each cart that i have? Or do i just have to guess? no matter what cart i use, the gba screen always says game unknown.

It's a limitation in your linker software. The linker I use to backup carts (MBV2) can read the cart and automatically discover the cart size, comparing the ROM to itself at 32 Mbit intervals. Try backing up 128 Mbit and then using an overdump correction program. To learn more, visit a forum dedicated to GBA backup; forum.gbadev.org isn't one.

There are plenty of places where you can find the size of your cart. Try google.com.

Specifically, what carts are you trying to find?

Maybe you should check out those GBA Shell programs, they often tell you the size of a gba rom even if you don't have it. Try www.gbaemu.com.
