Flash Equipment > Setting Save Type to SRAM? How?

#15891 - wbb - Tue Feb 03, 2004 1:39 am

Hi

I have compiled my game which uses SRAM to save same stuff. When I like to flash it, I must tell the flash program everytime that the ROM uses SRAM.
How I can set the ROMs save type to SRAM, so that my flash program detected it and set the save type to SRAM automaticly. Is there a command line tool available? Thx.

Flash carts themselves use SRAM. If you don't tell the flash software what save type a game uses, the flash software should assume it's SRAM for simplicity.

To convert games with other save types (serial EEPROM, 8-bit flash) to use SRAM, there are "save patches" for many games if you know where to look.
