Flash Equipment > generic loader?

#25698 - kruuth - Fri Aug 27, 2004 7:38 am

Is there any generic loader/writer software out there? I am using an xg2 lite card with an ez-flash writer and it writes single games fine, but that is all it can do. Any help?

From memory there is something around called "little writer" or something that works with several models of several cards.

However note that this isn't because it is generic because the cards are similar, it is generic because it has seperate code for each card from what I understand.

Hmmm....I have it, but it just sits there. Is there something I am doing wrong? There is the little "LW" on the task bar that goes from white to green, but nothing ever happens.

Dunno, I have never actually used it, might have to look for an faq or something.

I've downloaded a gba rom called GBA loader, but the EZ client won't let me load it with other stuff. Any ideas?

I would just use the actual different programs that you are supposed to use for your cards, seems the easiest way to me.

The problem is that ALL of the loader programs seem to not work.

"Seem to not work" in what way? Do they just immediately close after you open them from Windows Explorer? Do you get "permission denied" errors?

No, sorry, I should have clarified the "loader" thing.

I mean the little program that lets you select multiple programs on the gba is not functioning. The one I use in windows seems to be working fine.

Until the developers of the menu programs manage to come across specifications of the cards' bankswitch registers, you're not going to get working 3rd party menu programs except perhaps for the well-understood F2A Classic (not Ultra) cards.

What about littlewriter? Can it do usb?

#25823 - ampz - Sun Aug 29, 2004 2:04 am

Littlewriter supports at least one USB linker (The XROM USB multiboot linker).
