How am I supposed to run this? On my DS, I boot up my GBAMP in GBA mode, then I go to FC GAME then I select the CF_MB.GBA file...then it hangs. The screen stays stuck on the file select screen.

UPDATE: Now it's more thorough, including both sequential and random access as well as 512 byte, 4 KiB, and 16 KiB chunks. |
Why do you say KiB? Why not just KB? I've never heard of this way before. Kb for Kilobit and KB for Kilobyte, so why the "i" inbetween, it dosn't seem to help discern from anything?

There's a standard that specifies that KB, MB etc are used for base 10 sizes while KiB, MiB etc are used for base 2 sizes. ie. 1KB = 1000 bits, 1KiB = 1024 bits.

How big is the biggest file in your CF card's root directory? Try putting a file at least 256 KiB in size there. Also make sure your GBAMP's connector is clean. And which version of GBAMP firmware are you running (Setup > press Select > Version Info)?

I have "GBA Movie Player V1.94 Issue date: Apr., 2005"
I have a file like 1.2 megs in the root of the cf card (dslinux.nds if it matters).
All other homebrew stuff in DS mode seems to work, however I haven't done much with it in GBA mode besides running flashmp.gba the first time

josath:
Try installing update.e19 (GBAMP firmware 2.0) followed by chishm's GBAMP update v2.

When i try to install update.e19, it just gets stuck on "Updating..."
What do I do? Should I post this question somewhere else? (i feel like I'm cluttering up announcements)

Split4U.
Have you been able to run any other mb.gba programs?

* With update.e19 on the root of my CF card, when I boot it in GBA mode i just get a black screen with white text asking me to upgrade. If I accept, it gets stuck in "Updating...". If I cancel, it just goes to black screens and hangs
* DS Mode still works (I have chishm's firmware installed)
* I ran flashmp.gba to flash chishm's version 2 firmware, and that worked perfectly. other than that, i haven't tried any. However, at this point I no longer have the ability to run .gba files, as it wont boot in gba mode (failing upgrades)
Anybody have some suggestions?

Run ndsmp.nds. Use the repair utility (L+R+Start). Turn off and on, then apply update.e19. Finally, run ndsmp.gba and flash the nds bootloader back onto your GBAMP.
