DS development > "Make" error...

#94188 - lolmasta - Sun Jul 23, 2006 6:54 pm

I have searched, but did not seem to find anything interesting.
When I install the PALib, After the installation is done I get this:
[Images not permitted - Click here to view it]
And when I try to compile an example, I get the same error in the VHammer compile window. Actually, I get this: 'make' is not a recognised as a internal or external command, oberable program or batch file.

Is minsys installed correctly on your system?

You will need to have changed your PATH environment variable to include its various commands.

And you may need to start MSYS directly instead of going through the Windows command prompt.

MSys is installed correctly.
Also, I just open the exe of palib and when the install is done the command prompt pops up.

1. make sure you installed latest devkitarm from the official site http://devkitpro.org
2. if you still have problems with palib, try posting on their forums (there's not too many palib fans around here)

It looks like you either don't have msys installed or you don't have the msys/bin directory in your path. Using the devkitPro installer should do the needful for you unless you're using win95/98/ME where the path needs to be set in autoexec.bat.

Reinstalling everything worked fine for me.
And please, next time, use the PA_Lib forums instead. And just another thing: Try to learn libnds (that's what I am doing right now), because PA_Lib's code is terrible since Mollusk himself is not updating it ... Patater made a great introduction tutorial (heck, I only knew the basics of C, but I'm learning quickly :P ), let me search for it.
