DS development > Exe to DS format

hi, I don't know anything about coding and hacking the DS, however my question is to people who do; is it possible to port an .exe file over to the DS, if the program has the right screen dimentions for the Dual screens? If so, then you could use simple game makers like GAME MAKER by Mark Overmars to make your own DS games.. that would be a huge step forward wouldn't it? I mean if we could just mod such a gamemaker that it could make DS games, that would be incredible! What do you guys think?

You would need the .exe file's source code. The Games Factory and Game Maker are proprietary software and cannot be ported in this way.

okay, thanks for that. So there really is no way that you could retrieve the source could and port the game anyhow.?. The Gamesfactory would support the right resolution, well it will probably stay a dream making DS games without coding...

You'd have to pay dearly to license the source code. This could be up to 51 percent of the publisher's market capitalization.
