DS development > SC Rumble and DevKit 1.4.2 incompatabilities

#120193 - bobslack - Thu Mar 01, 2007 6:45 pm

I have been discussing some problems with Jeff Lait (author of Powder) with the Super Card Rumble and the latest version of DevKit Pro 1.4.2. I noticed that when he changed from an earlier version of the devkit to 1.4.2 the binaries he produces are incompatable with my SuperCard Rumble.

I have noticed a lot of other recent homebrew software isn't working on my DS either.

From what I can gather the latest version of the devkit is incompatable with the sc rumble.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm really wishing i would have spent a little extra cash to get a sc with the ram...

er... anyone wanna trade? ;) i'll throw in a gba movie player sd and a 512 mb sd card.

By "DevKit Pro 1.4.2" you mean the versions of devkitARM and libnds that were current when devkitPro Updater came out, right?

I have the same problem with my supercard lite rumble since devkitarm R20.
All my dev refuse to work since I upgraded to this version.
On my old ez4, they are all working.

Hello, on a forum, some people seems to have found a way to launch homebrews (like snemulds or picodrivds) on rumble...
It seems that lauching them with moonshell 1.6 or dsorganize 2.5 resolve the problem.

sounds like a bug in the supercard rumble firmware.

neither running by moonshell or ds organize is helping me

supercard lite rumble. Trying to run a PAlib file...

edit---

ds organize, moonshell, flashme boot

if i try and load dsorganize from moonshell it doesnt work
moonshell -> dsorganize doesn't work
official firmware -> random PAlib app doesn't work
dsorg -> random PAlib doesnt work
moonshell -> random PAlib doesn't work

i guess all we can do is wait for r21, and hope it fixes the problem.

Some files do boot using moonshell, but some don't.

Nitro Hax works through Moonshell.
