DS development > DS slot1 homebrew to manage gba saves

#125712 - shadowofdarkness - Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:54 am

Is there any ds homebrew I can run on a R4 card that will let me backup and restore gba save games on official carts. I specifically need to backup and restore flash 1024 saves. I want this to replace my xboo cable with chism's sendsave program. Since this will be more portable.

There was a thread around here somewhere but:

This is a basic EEPROM backup tool. Basically it lets you copy the save-games from your commercial game carts back and forth to your flashcart. It also supports using SRAM as storage, and if you have a gba cart in slot-2, and a flashcart in slot-1, you could copy the sram off the gba cart to your flashcart.

How does it handle DS saves that are bigger than the 32 KiB provided by a typical GBA Game Pak?

Sorry I probably should have put that in quotes as it was not mine, apparently it is SRAM only at this time.

If you want DS to GBA SRAM cory1492 made etool which uses compression to do a fair few games (some 2mbit stuff comes unstuck):

Oh well, if there is nothing that does it easy I will just live with my xboo cable.
