DS development > One more Vista and Devkitpro post

#142941 - Rajveer - Mon Oct 15, 2007 11:38 am

Got Vista-x64 and would really like to be able to compile under it. I understand there is a hack but wintermute said that this should not be relied upon. Any other ways to compile, or should I simply restore my XP Home image on another partition and boot it up whenever I want to do some programming?

EDIT: And please, no "wtf wer ju th!nkingz with Vizta-(65-1)bitz g0 b@k tu xPz !t rox0rz!!1!" :D

Haha, least you could have done was changing it a little bit!

If you have a lot of RAM, here's another hack: Try downloading Virtual PC 2007 and the IE 6 virtual machine and then installing devkitARM and MinGW into that. You will have to reinstall every few months, but hey, free Windows.

You could make arrangements to become an R21 beta tester, I don't currently have access to Vista64.

See the buttons at the bottom of the post for contact details.
