DS development > Is there anyway I could do something like this?

I saw this thing. http://www.aaronrogers.com/nintendods/wifime.php.

I have a netgear router with a 300ft radius. I would like to offer a few games with DS download play from my computer to my router to the ds. Is there a way I could possibly do that?[/list]

No.

Your PC is not capable to produce the needed NiFi frames on the AP, as these do not follow the "usual" way. WMB hosts are actually acting asspecial APs themself.

What? If you can code a driver to make it do that, why cant you do the same with a router?

Two reasons:
  1. Not everybody owns a WRT54GL/GS or some other home AP that can have custom firmware.
  2. This is a hobby. Given that a PC can send .nds files to a DS with flash equipment using standard IPv4 (dswifi), I haven't seen much interest on this forum in emulating DS Download Play anymore.

Well, I was thinking that if I set something like that up, it would be fun to have around the house, because there are alot of people with ds's on my street

would it be possible to host multiple games on a DS with linux then?

Maybe this wont be necessary now that the Wii "Everyones Nintendo Channel" is launched, since it would basically do the same thing without the hassle.

I don't have a Wii (anymore, which I regret selling now). What's this do?? Sends demos from Wii to the DS using Download Play??

Yes exactly that, unfortunately it's only released in Japan so far, but it is due for other regions shortly (so we're told). It also covers Wii demos and movies too.
