DS development > Effect of SoundEnable() on battery?

I want to play a tiny beep very occasionally (like perhaps half a dozen times in a minute). It looks like soundPlayPSG() will suffice but I'm curious to know whether it makes sense to enable and disable sounds using soundEnable and soundDisable around playing the sound. Would that benefit the battery in any way?
