I have a simple scene but the texture has a pink tinge. I think I have setup the ambient and light ok..... am I missing something obvious?

OK so it was a memory issue. I was trying to use a very big pcx texture on a big poly to act as a background to a level on a platform game. Is there a better way of doing it? (I want the background many times bigger than viewable screen)
