Better than the dev boards we started with though which were exposed circuit boards with the buttons and screen integrated onto it.

It's funny how they were using a SNES game pad when there are no X and Y buttons on the system itself.

Yes, and notice that the buttons on the AGB circuit board are arranged in an X/Y/A/B pattern as well, but with no shoulder buttons...
