Using that link, someone point me to exactly what I should buy to get started with intercepting DS packets and whatnot. I have 2 DS's and 2 copies of Mario 64 and Metroid, all I need now is the correct card.

A good chipset to work with is the prism2, or cisco aironet. Those are well supported under both Linux and Windows.
Personally I'm using an atheros based card though (linksys wmp55ag).

I believe a Syntax USB-400 would work. I've used it on my Mac in various WarDriving situations and it supports all the features like packet injection. (at least with KisMAC). Also it's cheap, like $9 USD. Search for "USB-400" on eCost or PriceGrabber and you should find it.

I highly recommend the Prism2 as well. It's by far the best supported under Linux, and thus by some of our tools.

But is the card I linked to the correct one?

Linksys has changed recently from the Prism2 chipset to the Broadcom chipset (which is terrible under Linux). You might want to get a Proxim Orinoco card instead; from what I can see Newegg has quite a few of them.

The card you linked to is the one I have, yes. However, it's more useful as a general wireless card then just a DS sniffer/sender. If you just need wireless for the DS get a prism2 card - much cheaper.

Gladius, can you link me to a prism2 card then that will work? I can't fine a PCI prism2 card anywhere.

I was having issues getting any hacky-wireless stuff working with my desktop. I believe this to be endemic of all PCI WiFi cards because of their lack of appeal for WarDriving and other wireless mischief.
My advice is find a laptop and use that. I'm right now borrowing a friend's laptop and I can actually sniff packets from the DS using AiroPeek's drivers.

I'm not sure what the chipset is, but Motorola's 802.11g NICs seem to work just fine.
