So with the new memory socket and the encryption. How are they going to do the GameShark? Of course they could use the GBA slot if they had to. So they must be able to work with the DS game code or else Nintendo said, "Forget GameShark" we rather have the game code encrypted. Have you heard any news about this?

All of this is research. You are going to see theories come and go. Things you think can't be done, will be done. But because you are here, you'll be the first to know.

simple... interact went out of bisuness. this is how we get gamesharks on the ds! :P
seriously tho, i'm sure that pro action replay (PAR) guys will be able to work something up, like they do for every system. it may just be later rather than sooner, like it was for the GCN.

Nintendo never authorized Action Replay (which Interact marketed as GameShark in some territories). In fact, Nintendo fought the first cheating device marketed in North America in court (and lost pre-DMCA).

How horrible ;) The Game Genie was sweet. I liked hooking up the Genesis one to "Sonic 3 + Knuckles" and having a giant three-cartridge tower sticking out of the machine :)

I think someone mentioned that the DS recognizes the GBA GameShark as an 'Option Pack'. Can anyone test this?

Last I remember, putting my GameShark SP in the DS, with or without a game, was completely unrecognized by the DS.

You can beat that if you add a (Model 1) Sega CD and 32X to it. There's so much junk that was boltable onto that box :D
