i was wondering if there is any way to extract the avi files from the rom so you can watch them on your computer

The avi's within the metriod image are in the fastvideo format created by actimagine. ActImagine owns and licenses an older version of the same codec to am3 for their GBA video player. I've ran some tests and have gotten a few of the video to play back, just not in the correct color palette. If anyone is interested I can post exactly how I was able to produce these results.

But, if I understand wath are you saying...you can see Metroid Demo videos?
