Hi, just got my ds on friday. Great console. But was checking out NetStumbler using Sweex LC100040 Zydas 1211 and this is what i can tell with just one DS.

As i only have one DS, i cant take dumps, ill have access to three more soon, with 6 games in total. Will try some dumps then.

What is the best prog to use for this?

Can anyone guide me to good USB programming guides in windows, and maybe a good 802.x programming guide too?

Thanks for the help

Anything that captures to the libpcap format is good enough. Just make sure you turn off channel hopping so that you don't miss data.

After that I like to look at the captured data in Ethereal.

As for guides I'd suggest you look at the driver source to a free stumbler app. I have a Mac so I'm using KisMAC but I'm sure you can find more info with Google.

Many thanks

So if ive got it right, you can use NetStumbler to capture packets?

You also have the option of using ethereal and for the lucky few, airopeek.

Learning how to send the data is going to be a long process then.

Thanks for all of your help

net stumbler doesnt capture packets, it finds access points. there is a difference.
