DS development > Audio Demo!

#39461 - Lynx - Sat Apr 09, 2005 4:35 am

if you want to check it out.. Only works on hardware (as no emu's do audio yet, that I know of).

And, yes.. it's only in the left speaker.. right now.. We just forgot about the right side.. ;)

Tutorial should be available soon, so check the documentation page and see if it's there yet.

It works pretty well except for the break-up on that first song there.. :) A song from Sting though...I don't know about that, heh.

What kind of compression does the audio use?

iDeaS is now able to load in PassME builds. I just tried it with Audio Sampler.

Even though there is no sound emulation it does load in. So that's proof enough for me. iDeaS was also able to load in Battleship DS PassME Rom.

The extension for PassMEs is .pme so just put that at the end of your .ds.gba and they may load. Note of course this is still an emulator so it may or may not run :p.

Yes, the .pme is extension for PassMEs and they may load.
There is no sound emulation :) I do not have a good idea on how to emulate it

Are you planning on releasing the source code? I would be extremely happy if i could see the source or at least see a doc that explains how does the audio works. :)
