If we had the official tools, we wouldn't have spent hundreds of manhours trying to figure out things on our own. Enormous efforts went into finding a way to bypass the encryption, and the current way of doing things still requires additional hardware to allow us to run unsigned code.

If you have the official tools, on the other hand, you'd be the messiah of this entire community if you told us what the private RSA key was. ;)

(Unless Nintendo signs code for developers ala Microsoft, that is )

As usual no help on the nintendo site so hopefully some official devers are lurking here?

This forum is specifically for unofficial developers. By asking such questions on this forum you are jepodising unofficial development (as you appear to know giving your .sig of "please don't ask...I'd only have to kill you when I've told you!").

Ask on the official newsgroups -- NOA has been pretty helpful so far.

#41083 - DSDev - Sun Apr 24, 2005 11:48 pm

Poor old official developers. Are as clueless as all the unofficials :). Don't you just love it? :)

Not really, if anyone gave out that information on this forum you could count the homebrew community for DS as dead.

not if someone made a program to run on the DS that just happens to have it in the backgroumd or something

Most likely Nintendo doesn't give their private key away to anyone, not even to companies with the SDK. Third-party developers send their exeutables to nintendo for signing.
