DS development > Sampling 3D Output
#42166 - Ethos - Sat May 07, 2005 1:16 am
Anyone know how I can sample my 3D output (memory location current 3D output is in?)? Would it be in the LCD bank?
Thanks!

I've read and heard of a possible scanline sized buffer for the 3D engine...anyone happen to know the mem location? :)

The scanline-tall frame buffers aren't mapped at an obvious location. It appears from the NDSTech Wiki's Video page the Rasterizing Engine isn't publicly cracked yet. You'll need to wait for a commercial Nintendo DS game that uses obvious 3D on both screens, and then somebody will have to disassemble it to see where it DMA's from.
