DS development > how do you make a .nds file from a .ds.gba file

or can you?

unless im doing something wrong, and it wouldnt surprize me, i can only wirelessly load demos with the .nds extension with the newest firmware.

i want to load games without the rom cart.

anyhelp would be great.

Me, I had the nds files when I compile the project with ndsdev env with the method : http://www.aaronrogers.com/nintendods/ndsdevenv.php installed but when I had installed with the method :
http://www.aaronrogers.com/nintendods/manual_setup.php, I didn't have the .nds file.
If you have installed with the first method, that functions.

Yeah, either learn to compile from source (if you're any kind of developer), or find the homebrew developers' webpages for the ROMs you want, and get the .nds version. People pretty much post both .nds and .nds.gba for homebrew projects.

There's probably a way to strip (at least for some) .nds.gba files down to .nds, but it's easier just to start with the .nds.
