DS development > New App: DrinkMe

#43199 - maniacdevnull - Fri May 20, 2005 5:32 am

DrinkMe for Nintendo DS

Basically, it hepls you run a power hour-style drinking contest. Makes a noise every 60 seconds. Based off the RTC, so it should be accurate on stock hardware. You will need to supply your own beer and shot glass(es).

Includes directions, for people who don't drink and idiots.

What do you think?

You knew it was coming as soon as the WiFiMe was created, and other things would soon follow.

It's all your fault jerk!

Good work maniac, me and my non-developer friends are all helped by this.

It sounds like "Blow Me", it's why I giggle when people say "You can go below me" and things like that.

That's why I said to say it out loud! So you can HEAR what you are saying.. :P

Most people answer that question the exact same way dagamer34 did.. :D I got slapped the first time I ask my mother. (I was little then.)

O k, then. Moving on...

Anyone going to have tutorials that go past "Day 1" with the setting up of a development environment. As much as I would love to go through digging through the endless piles of demos (70 by Darkain's count I think) and ndslib, some of us really just don't have the time at the moment.

I swear though, as soon as I do get some free time, I might as well make some tutorials myself (Obviously, skipping over what has already been done SO well. I think people can easily set up their dev environment with the tool aaron has provided to us).

Not until Microsoft makes WindowsMe, a port of Windows CE for the DS, because it can't make its own Xboy.

Or would that be Windows CEMENT?

You can check Phoenix Risings tutorials. The programming bits will be the same for any dev env.

Probably really want to start here:

Using Tiles
http://www.dspassme.com/programmers_guide/tutorial/using_tiles.html

Using Sprites
http://www.dspassme.com/programmers_guide/tutorial/using_sprites.html

Then, keep an eye out for him on IRC #dsdev and tell him to finish the dang thing.. :P
