Topic says it all really, I've tried extracting and re-creating them with ndstool in every combination I can think of, and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

thank you very much for the guy who made the new pack roms : http://www.akkit.org/DS/E3/
i have try to download all .nds files from this page and to compile them to have one rom to flash but i have the white screen too
but i don t know how this person would be able to make a working rom !
i do like that :
i download the loader.zip and decompress it to \loader\
then i downloaded all e3 roms and polarium in .nds format
then i copied them to the folder \loader\
and i run "build.bat"
then i flash the .ds.gba file to my flash card and the loader works fine, but when i run a demo, i have white screen
and when i m using the e3 compilation, the demos run !
can you explain please ?
:-/
thank you

The E3 compilation is done with a private version of Darkain's Loader

Can you play these on an emulator? I don't have the kit to do the transfer thing.

Nope, not playable on emu and it will surely take long until you can :P
The emu can't even load the Metroid Prime Hunters Demo, so...

Is a public release planned before the end of the useful lifetime of the Nintendo DS?

Oh well... :(
Why is getting a GBA flash card so hard then? Are they sold in shops or do I have to get them from generally dodgy looking sites on the net? :D

I think I saw a comment somewhere (couldn't find again) that the new version would be out in a week. Better not quote me though, I coudln't find the post.

Regular stores aren't going to have them, as major retailers avoid stocking special equipment that the typical consumer wouldn't understand how to use. There are non-dodgy looking sites you can get them from, just look here: http://forum.gbadev.org/viewforum.php?f=13 (Retailer Feedback forum). I personally recommend the EFA 256Mbit Devkit at Jandaman.com.

I was just curious, as various cases of Internet drama have resulted in console-scene programs being taken private "for the foreseeable future". Remember No$gba? HyperDS? DarkFader's dumps?

i would like to quote MYSELF from THIS VERY THREAD.
Quote: |

it isnt going to be available yet, because it isnt stable. i wasnt happy to see it released as a multi-rom set as it is. i dont like handing out things that i know have large blatent flaws in them. i sometimes give out some stuff to a small handfull of people so they can test their stuff for compatibility. ive been nice to give test copies of DarkStar to NDS emulator writes to help better emulation support. ive given copies of the new loader to some developers so they can try to implement code in their demos to revert back to the menu.

THERE it is! I kept looking but I skimed over that line. I thought I saw it though.
I agree with not releasing things until they work. Knowing some people they'd come back at you and cry about it not working, even if you told them it was experimental.

Ok, I'll check it out, but are there any retailers that deliver in the UK? $100?!!!

TotalGBA.com is UK based (juste received mine this morning... Royal Mail indeed). Anyway, as soon as I have my cart tested, I'll put a message in the feedback section. But they are cheap (?45 / ?70 for an EFA 256) and fast.

That's ok, then!
