DS development > Old school PC RPG port concept

After enjoying SirTech's Wizardry8 on the PC and wanting something similar on a handheld device, I found Golden Sun on the GBA.
Sure it was fun and all, but nowhere near as hard or the statistical wet dream I wanted.
(Yes, numbers make me all hot and bothered...)

So here's the general idea:

Oh, if the manufacturing cost of DS game cards drops will there be 256/512MB/1GB versions in the future? Can the DS even handle that kind of data storage directly?

I love Wizardry 8 but it's so long and hard.
I'd love to see it on DS.

I've seen a pic of a DS Card's PCB with a 2Gb chip (256 MB), so I'm guesing that 512 MB isn't out of the question capacity wise, but probably too dang expensive right now. I bet within two years they'll be nice 'n cheap, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 1 GB card.
