DS development > Microphone data rush...

#58772 - Didou - Tue Oct 25, 2005 10:44 pm

Hi,

From what I experimented, it seems that when one turns the microphone on, there is a bunch of data that are read as > 128 (even if one does not blow in the micro :). Then, after a very short time, the level get stable around 128.
Did somebody also experimented this fact ?
Is there a known reason ?

The microphone data is unstable for around 500ms after enabling the microphone amplifier. You should delay before beginning to sample.

Half a second? Ouch. Does that mean a program should just sample continuously?

Jepp, that's why I have to delay the start of the recording in the Sampling Keyboard. I hope someone will put some more work into the micprophone functions, since I'm not into reverse engineering.
