What's the typical size of savegame areas on commercial DS games?
I've heard that Nintendogs has 256 KB (or is it kilobits?).
The writable memory is EEPROM, right?

DS saves are known to be anywhere from 4096 bits (512 bytes) to 2 Mib (256 KiB).

Cool - thanks for the link!
So it sounds like games usually have a tiny EEPROM area, but some (eg Nintendogs) have a much bigger area of flash memory.
Presumably the carts with flash memory are a lot more expensive to produce.

Presumably.
However, Brain Age has a 2M Flash save, and it sells for only $20.

Nintendo as a publisher has an allegedly unfair advantage, as it likely gets a deep discount on the manufacturing fee.
