I was thinking about the Datel MML and how it can break the slot. What if you took another cartridge, such as Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt, opened it, and put the Datel MML into it. This would make the indent the same size, and thus would not break the slot.
Am I right or wrong? If it works, I would probably get one.

You are right.. but it sounds like a whole lot of work for NOTHING. Just use a razor knife and cut the click-in notch bigger.. Done.

what exactly is it that's wrong with the MML? i just ordered one and i don't want to use it if it might break my card slot.

Funny, mine does make the wierd clicking sound on my DS-Heavy, but sounds fine in my DS-Lite. Maybe the MML was tested on the DS-Lite card slot and it's just poor plastics construction.. though.. I can't see there being any cost savings in having it contructed that poorly. Must have just been an oversight.

Did you ever use a Gameshark or other Interact product? (Interact was a reseller of Datel.) These things defined poor construction.

I got it a couple days ago, I traded some stuff for it and a Tungsten T.
It seems to work fine in both my Lite and my Hevy.

I've used my mml on several ds's and lite's with no problem at all. Inserting my supercard is far more serious but also no problem. I geuss some people are just a bit ponderous ;)

It certainly feels different. There is a bit of resistance when ejected and a louder than usual clicking sound when inserting it. I would imagine quickly ejecting the card could cause the slot to break over time. If people are careful with ejecting the card then there should be no problem.

I received mine and tried inserting a few times in two DSes. Didn't break anything. Well.. I opened the MML out of curiosity...
