DS Flash Equipment > CF question

#91590 - lemmayoshi - Sat Jul 08, 2006 2:07 am

Is there any limitations with using a CF flashcard, such as Supercard CF. Or would I be better off getting a regular flash card?

Actually, regular flashcards have more limitations than CF. CF flash cards can have more space for less, as well.

Hmm.. uhh.. yeah. what he said.. :)

the only device that is CF and has any limitations it the GBA MP, as it doesn't have any internal RAM that can be directly addressed as a GBA Flash Cart. So, if you get a SuperCard or M3, you should be able to do ANYTHING a GBA Flash Cart can do, and a whole lot more.

Except saving in .gba or ds.gba homebrew is a bit tough, as it takes a bit of timing to get a quick power cycle.

Supercard can patch GBA games (compatibility with homebrew not guaranteed) to give them a restart hotkey sequence, so you don't need to QPC.
