DS Flash Equipment > Is it possible to download a DS demo without a flash cart?

#101751 - aquafloe - Thu Sep 07, 2006 9:21 pm

Has anyone seen this? http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/DS/feature.asp?c=1450

It's a tutorial on how to get DS demos sent to your DS through download play from a network adapter. But there is NO mention of a flash cart. Does that mean this method doesn't require a flash cart? PLEASE READ THE ARTICLE BEFORE YOU ANSWER.

Using that method, you can only send over Nintendo signed DS games ("yarr", or Downloadable Demos) unless you have FlashMe. The original WifiMe would boot from your GBA flashcart, this will do real nintendo things, unless you have flashme, in which it should be able to do actual homebrew.

Heh, you can't send 'yarr' over WMB. All downloadables via WMB have to be under 4MB.

What about Gaim DS? Gaim pretty much has support for all IM programs.

There are some signed WMB compatible files that aren't just demos, eg. Ping Pals.
