DS Flash Equipment > DS Midi conversion - which flash gear

#109458 - blitz_live - Sat Nov 18, 2006 1:22 pm

Hey guys I'm looking to convert a DS that is capable of sending midi out signals as described here

Anyhow, since this will mean the GBA slot is taken up, what kind of flash gear will I need to get to be able to run homebrew programs on it?

I have a cosmic blue oldskool DS.

Also can anyone recommend a cheap GBA cart I could grab to use as the connector for the homebrew midi output.

Cheers :D

Just as a quick side note I'm hoping to develop a sequencer specifically designed for LIVE playing. . . somehow :P as part of a scheme I have to build a small briefcase-sized live electronic music rig and just run around doing silly things with.

I think you misrad something. The DSMIDI device was built from an old Passkey2 cart, which is a card for the DS slot. So, you can run the app that uses the DSMIDI from the GBA slot.
