DS Flash Equipment > My DS is shutting down.... Please help...

#142351 - scoldsteve - Mon Oct 08, 2007 6:36 pm

Hi...

I'm a NOOB so please bear with me....
I'm having a problem with my polar white DS... The unit is constantly shutting down on me even though the battery is fully charged.. This happens about a minute or so after the console starts up...

I have used a DS-X on it before, I dont know if this was the start of the problem.. But on my regular cartridges it does the exact same thing..

Is there a way to fix this or is my DS pooched....

HELP HELP......

Is it a lite or a phat? Is the power button sticky or anything like that? Off the top of my head, maybe the charging circuit is up the duff and is turning itself off because it thinks the battery is dangerously hot. Does it work when you remove the battery and use mains only?

the polar white is a lite... it seems that hitting the b button may be one of the things thats shutting it down, but I couldnt be 100% for sure

It runs for a full minute? That's strange, maybe your battery is defective. What happens if you leave it plugged in?

If hitting B shuts it down, it means something is shorting inside.

Have you made any modifications to the DS? I popped the hinge mic by shorting the mic port.
