DS Flash Equipment > M3 Adapter Questions

#53061 - EZ-034 - Mon Sep 05, 2005 9:16 pm

just a few questions about this -

theres 2 versions - m3 perfect-CF and m3 perfect-SD and i correct in assuming the only difference is m3 perfect-CF uses Compact Flash Cards and m3 perfect-SD uses Secure Digital Cards?

and will the m3 adapter work on pal(specifically Australian) nintendo DS's?

thanks,

there is no PAL or NTSC for DS. they are using the same colour system, same amount of lines.

the only issue would be nintendo-modified firmware/hardware (as in the ique DS, and the RED DS).

and yes, the only difference between m3 sd and cf is the type of storage media they support.

Try http://gbatmw.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=m3gen&action=display&thread=1125790248. I asked the person who posted if he could try out Hexen and Heretic to see if they'd run as both are over 4mb and in ds.gba format, iirc. He said that Heretic worked fine (he had no Hexen wad to try), so I'm pretty satisfied :)

There is a difference for PSP. Both Japan and Europe are in DVD Region 2, and both the Japanese PSP and the European PSP use 480x272 pixels in YUV color, but Japanese UMD Video titles do not work in a European PSP nor vice versa. EZ-034 thought that there might be an analogous distinction on the Nintendo DS, especially given that iQue DS games do not work on non-iQue systems.

You've ordered one? Or you just intend to get one soon?

If you've ordered it already... where did you order it from?

I have paid, and it will arrive in 4-7 days
There was only 8 available though. I don't know whether you can still get them, have a look at the GBATMW forums (gbatmw.proboards44.com)
Its in the M3 general section.
