I don't mean to offend anyone, but doesn't it look the same as Passkey 1. Only change is the logo

I waterproofmarked one of my PassKey's with "2" after reprogramming but it sure doesn't look that cool.

Chill, buddy. Your "1" key might get wedged into your keyboard.

It's an "upgrade", which means it's just a normal game.

If I felt like wasting my money I'd get one just to see what game it was after I dumped it.

Interesting concept.. I was woundering how the production world would come up with a way to sell PassMe2s as they have to be programmed for each specific game inserted.. I guess providing a jtag connector to program is a good way.. But... Now for the main question?
How much is it?
#65218 - JaJa - Sun Jan 01, 2006 12:10 am
They'll probably sell it for the same price as the previous generation as they are now obselete.
I still don't think the Passme2 is really user friendly enough for general sale.
I can see the forum posts now "OMG!111!!!! H3lp A N0oB Wit His Pa55k3y2!!1one111".

Given that the EFA card has a USB compatible connector on it, I can see how a future GBA card might have some sort of JTAG connector on it.

Ya'know, the "upgrade" isn't a bad idea.. If I could afford to stock 100 units of a game, I would sell them as an "upgrade" and it would make it a lot easier to program PassMe's for the upgrade, as well as give a specific tutorial on exactly how to use a PassMe2 with the upgrade, and what SRAM data to write, etc.
Now, why would anyone pay $30 for an "upgrade" when you can pick from a bunch of retail games for $15 - $20 (Ping Pals for example), beats the heck out of me.

actully, its not just a game
its a real passme, they just rip out the guts of an old game and repack it with passme circuitry. there's still a game in there tho...

So can we use that upgrade for anything else than just flashing the firmware?

(inside) pictures please :)
I'd also like pictures of games that use the Matrix Memory chips.

The ezpass2 is pretty cheap (US$20 from winsunx) and comes with a parallel cable for programming it (actually it also has a USB connector on it - this is just to power the device while programming). Admittedly you have to install Lattice Semiconductor's ispvm CPLD programming software to program the device, but it's almost as simple as downloading a JED file for whatever game you want to use and clicking "go" in the software.

If that's true, your statement doesn't make much sense.

Ok, you might be right. At first I didn't saw it was slightly larger.
The info on that online shop is faulty, it's not an upgrade.
They probably sand off the text on the ROM chip too, to prevent legal actions against them.
