DS Flash Equipment > new passkey ?

#65952 - takhisis_astrafall - Sat Jan 07, 2006 12:52 am

hello, i've just receive a M3 shipped with a passkey, when i saw that the passkey didn't work with my ds, i think, "no prob's i can upgrade it to a passkey2".

then.. i take off the passkey and... no way. the chip is all scratched... and it has 4x16 pins. so i can't use a classic jtag. :(

where the other were having a nds-passme-real... i'va a "nds-pass-acex-01"
by searching a little, i found that the acex is chip, but i don't know how to wire it and if i can flash it.

am i the only one with this passkey ?

From what I know, there's a flasher delivered along with the M3. You need to plug the M3 in the flasher and use the software also delivered along with your M3, to flash it.

Ohh... an Altera ACEX?
I see J3 and J4 pads. DS slot pad 2 might also be something.

Hi there,
i?ve also one of those rare passkeys
mine (and i think your is the same) is an Actel ex128-F TQ64 0518

I worked out the connections for the jtag, here:

We could now program the cip, but i?m wondering if it?ll work with the imPact xilinx software, or even, if the *.jed will work on this actel.

Any clue?

Let?s hack this fucking passkey ;)

That makes more sense. GBAMP uses such chip too.
You can't do anything with these anti-fuse devices, so just give up.

darkfader: Do you plan on investigating any of these boot methods as an alternative to the new passkey?
