DS Flash Equipment > Use my RT2500 Wireless NIC as an access point for my laptop?

#66873 - curiousmike - Sat Jan 14, 2006 1:34 am

I'm pulling my hair out trying to find a site that showed how I could use my wireless NIC to "share" my internet connection with my laptop.

I'm on a wired network at home, but bought the 2500NIC so I could send demo's to my DS.

My interest in the demo's is waning, and it should be super useful to be able to wirelessly connect my laptop... without having to buy a wireless router.

I could swear I saw a web page that described how to do this... but I can't find it.

Anyone ?

If you're on Windows I've heard there's a program called SoftAP you can buy that'll do the job. That's the best info I have to offer.

(EDIT): Ah, better information below...

I think that all the work that's been done by the homebrew community so far to support people who want to program for the GBA or DS is amazing.
Thank you, everyone, I look forward to taking advantage of your work.

You don't buy SoftAP, you can just download the giga-byte drivers, SoftAP is included.

PCMCIA drivers

USB drivers?

SoftAP doesn't work on 98 but then neither does WMB.
