DS Flash Equipment > Cheapest way...

Whast the cheapest way to get homebrew up and running on a DS? I bought my DS on July 7th, and The Pictochatting eject thing gives me green.

If you have CF cards lying around, PassMe1 + GBA MP is the cheapest. If you don't have a CF card, then you might want to do a little research as to what size you think you need before comparing prices of CF/SD devices vs Flash Carts.

As for the DS firmware, I just purchased a NEW DS two days ago (silver) and was stunned to see that it has old firmware on it.

My bro got a DS with old firmware, too. He got it recently.

BTW, what happeend to the GBAMP2 on your site? i was collecting money to buy it, and it's no longer in the catalog...

If you think about putting them up again, put the SD version, because I have a spare SD card, and I'm short on cash. :P

Unfortunately the SD version doesn't support NDS homebrew, since no one has hacked it yet.

GBAMP version 2 SD is not yet compatible with DS homebrew, nor with file system access in GBA homebrew.

Double Darn... looks like I'm saving for a CF card... I saw a 32MB one at BB... it was pretty cheap...

if u want a cheap cf, go to tigerdirect.com or newegg.com...shipping may be $5, but i think its proly cheaper than anything you get anywhere else. my 256mb cf was $13 at tiger. but for some reason there are no sales right now at tigerdirect

I just looked, and the cheapest CF card was 17.99, and the cheapest SD was 4.99! Oh well, I'll look till the prices drop more...

Sorry, I sold out of them, and because they are not PassMe2 compatible, I don't plan on restocking them (as demand has pretty much fell out).

Hmm, now this is just my opinion, but I think you should go for a card above 32MB :P. I got myself 1gig and that was full pretty fast as well. But yeah if you just want to cary one thing at a time it will do :).

zipzoomfly.com

not the best prices, but free, fast shipping.

got a 256m sd card (for use on my ds w/ supercard) for $21 in two days.
