DS Flash Equipment > SuperCard SD limits?

#67639 - ReRuss - Thu Jan 19, 2006 6:31 pm

Isnt there a limit on using SuperCard as far as game sizes? (and isnt there SD readers for DS port?)

Game like Spyro I couldnt get to run which I'm guessing cuz they were so big (it took a minute just to load)

run it through the patcher first.

tried that

and even "Trim rom" feature , and neither would load after waiting like a minute for the data just to load thru

I found this also

Quote:
0216 Mario and Luigi - Partners in Time North America SCZ 512Mbit 64kb EEPROM Yes Yes Trim: Yes - IGR: Yes

saying that it works on SuperCard , but it just goes white when I attempt to patch it using SuperCard 2.50 and use a SupercardSD with 1.60 firmware

I also had this problem with Spyro , both were big files (512Mbit I beleive)

Another site I found had this info

Quote:
Name - Mario and Luigi - Partners in Time

Region - USA

Size - 512Mb

Save - EEPROM 64Kb

SC-CF - Yes

SC-SD - Yes

Saves - Yes

FlashMe - Yes

fixed it

turns out if I doubel click on the rom , make sure it's set to SD card , and unchecked all the extras , it worked perfectly fine and loaded on the spot

The size of DS homebrew is limited only by 1. how big your CF or SD card is and 2. how much content you can afford to create to fill that card.

As for backups (e.g. Mario and Luigi), please take your backup talk to Pocket Heaven Discussion Boards.

well I merely thought there was a limit to size , I know none of the homebrew is 512Mb , but it's just somthin dumb I did...
